Sarath KumarÂs new film

Sarath, who is taking rest following an injury he got during the shooting in Malaysia, has now finalized the story and the director for his next project. ÂVaiÂ. Balu, who was working with Shankar, will direct the movie.
There is an interesting story behind Balu and Sarath combo. Balu, who was determined to start his directorial career with directing a film featuring Sarath Kumar, had been waiting for the chance for three years.
Finally he got the appointment with Sarath, who allocated him only 20 minutes. But the actor, it is said, went on to listen to the young man for nearly three hours. The actor was very much impressed by the story and gave his nod
The movie will be produced by Sampoornam under the banner of Ashtalakshmi Movie Makers. SampoornamÂs younger daughter Bhuvana plays the second heroine and the hunt for the first heroine is on. They will select a Mumbai girl, it is learnt.
Sarath Kumar, who has kept himself away from producing the films, is now producing and acting in the movie titled Â1977Â. The shooting is progressing fast.
